Dr. Dorothy Ginnett

I am thrilled to be a member of the Auburndale MS/HS teaching team, which I joined in August 2017.
I am a Science Educator and Wildlife Ecologist   I enjoy connecting students to the beauty and wonder of the natural world. I also enjoy teaching with technology and am integrating blended online learning components into my high school courses.  I have been teaching fully online high school and college classes since 2004. I have been a science teacher for over 15 years and have taught science at the middle school, high school and college/graduate levels in WI, TX and CA.

Courses taught at Auburndale High School:  Life Science, CAPP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology.  In alternate years, I also teach semester courses in CAPP Environmental Science and Biotechnology.  In Life Science, Auburndale students can now take 2 advanced classes to earn college credits:  CAPP Biology and CAPP Environmental Science.

I'm a midwesterner by birth and grew up in St. Cloud, MN.   My husband & I moved our family to Stevens Point, Wisconsin in 2000.  Our son graduated from SPASH and is now attending college.  Our family loves exploring the natural beauty of Wisconsin in all seasons!
