Choir

Miss Koerner graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education in the Fall of 2022. After teaching private piano and vocal lessons throughout college, she began her classroom teaching journey in January of 2023 when she was hired as the K-12 Vocal and General Music teacher in Auburndale. She enjoys getting to know all of the students on an artistic level and being able to make music with each choir.

 

Program Information 

The Choir program in Auburndale currently has around 50 students in grades 6-12 and is quickly growing in size.  The high school choir performs at state festivals as well as concerts in the community. High school students have the opportunity to apply to different Honor Choirs in the state. Our Middle School Choirs meet 2 times a week. These students are split into the beginning 6th grade chorus, and a combined 7th and 8th grade chorus. In the past years, members of our choirs have earned ratings from WSMA judges of 2s, 1s, and *1s, allowing students to compete at the state festival.
