About the Director
Mr. Wegner graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2021. This is his fourth year teaching and his second year at Auburndale! Mr. Wegner is enjoying getting to know all of the students and being able to make music with each band from the 5th grade beginners all the way up to the High School!
Program Information
The Band program currently has around 120 students in grades 5-12 and is quickly growing in size. The high school band performs at state festivals as well as concerts in the community. High school students have the opportunity to perform in each concert with the band as well as the Jazz Band. The Jazz Band travels to 3 jazz festivals every year to perform and compete at a very high level. The 6th grade, and 7th & 8th-grade band is a great stepping store for students to get ready for the high school band. The 5th grade band is a great way to get started with band and learn the basics of instruments and playing as an ensemble!
