549.2 - NON-STAFF EXTRA CURRICULAR EMPLOYEES
1. Non-staff extra duty assignments shall follow the same guidelines and standards as professional staff extra duty assignments.2. Non-staff extra duty personnel shall be evaluated annually by the contracted individual’s supervisor in accordance with school guidelines and practices.
3. No non-staff extra duty contract shall be renewed until a performance evaluation has been completed and the school board has been given the opportunity to review the evaluation.
4. Non-staff extra duty assignments are to be placed on a year-to-year contractual basis. Individual contracts will be considered for renewal or non-renewal by the school board upon completion of examination of the individual’s performance evaluation.
5. On-staff professionals who wish to apply for an extra curricular position which is currently held by a non-staff employee must file a letter of application for that position no later than February 1 of the current school year.
6. Teachers shall be given preference in filling vacant extra curricular positions.
