School District of Auburndale

424.1 - PRIVATE SCHOOL SHARED TIME

In recognition that promotion of educational opportunities for all children residing within the School District of Auburndale boundaries remains a primary function of the Auburndale Schools, the School District of Auburndale will allow access of all non-public school children into those subject/classes defined as non-required under Wisconsin Statutes 118.165(1)(d) (Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Health) and whose enrollment does not substantially affect the performance/instructional level of the existing class/subject. Maximum enrollment levels will be determined by the District Administrator. In the event of a dispute as to the maximum enrollment level, the Board of Education shall make final determination. The Board decision shall be final. Additional expenditures for instructors/classroom/materials beyond those normally required for these subjects/classes are forbidden under 64 Wis. 2d 314, 328, 219, N.W. 2d 577 (1974). All non-public school children will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis, without regard to the child's race, religion, sex, origin or non-public school affiliation. All fees or supplies, regulations and expenditures subjected normally to public school students who are enrolled within these subjects/classes will remain the responsibilities of the non-public school student. No additional fees or surcharges will be required of non-public school children.
