374 - SOLICITATION OF PRIVATE BUSINESS BY ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS
The School District of Auburndale recognizes that certain individuals and/or groups may need to contact private individuals and/or companies to request financial donations and other considerations for individual or group activities, not normally supported by the school district. In order to protect the District and private citizens, the Board of Education reserves all rights to regulate any requests for fund raisers and/or donations, which identify the School District of Auburndale in any part or description in this request for financial assistance.No student, club, co-curricular activity or private organization may solicit private businesses and/or individuals either orally or in writing, for the purpose of raising funds, while representing themselves or the activity as being associated with Auburndale Schools, without first receiving prior permission by the Board of Education. This permission will only be granted by the full Board of Education, at a regular scheduled meeting. Individuals and/or groups who contact individuals/businesses without prior Board approval will be denied permission, financial assistance or any consideration by the Board of Education.
This policy does not pertain to fund raising sales held within the school setting and/or involve individual sale items to individuals and private businesses which are results of an approved club, co-curricular or organization which has received prior approval by the school administration.
