345.2 - SUBSTANDARD GRADES

Students in jeopardy of receiving a substandard or failing grade, and their parents will be contacted by mail regarding the grade deficiencies. In cases of failing grades, parents will also be contacted by phone or personal conferences. These communications must be made as soon as possible and during the grading period with sufficient time left for the student to correct the deficiency and avoid receiving the substandard or failing grade. Contacts and attempts to contact are to be documented and continued throughout the grading period or until such time the student is out of jeopardy. Procedures in implementing this policy may be made at the discretion of the building principals.
