342.1 - LOCAL AGENCY SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Board of Education shall provide a free and appropriate public education to each child with a disability within its jurisdiction, regardless of the nature or severity of the disability. Educational and other services shall be provided either locally or through agreements with other school districts or agencies and shall be provided in accordance with state and federal law.Procedures for screening, referring, identifying and serving children with disabilities shall be consistent with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Model Local Educational Agency Special Education Policies and Procedures, which shall be considered as part of the district’s special education handbook. The district special education handbook shall be considered Board policy.
