165 - BOARD MEMBER CODE OF ETHICS
As a member of the School District of Auburndale Board of Education, I will represent the interests of the owners of the district;do nothing to violate the trust of the electorate or of those I serve;
keep confidential information confidential;
never exercise authority as a board member except when acting in a meeting with the full board or as the board delegates me;
focus my efforts on the mission of the board and not on my personal goals;
and approach all board issues with an open mind, prepared to make the best decision for the whole of the district.
I will not use my position as a school board member for my own personal advantage or for the individual advantage of my friends or supporters.
