142 - SCHOOL ATTORNEY
The Board may appoint an attorney at its discretion to advise and represent the district in all matters requiring legal counsel. The school attorney will serve in an advisory capacity to both the Board and the district administrator.A decision to seek legal advice or assistance on behalf of the district will be made by the district administrator and/or Board of Education. Such action will be taken as is consistent with Board policy or standard practice and meets an obvious need of the district. It may also take place as a consequence of formal Board direction.
