Welcome back to Auburndale Elementary School (AES). We are proud to have you as part of our school community. AES has caring certified and classified staff members who are committed to helping your sons and/or daughters achieve to their fullest potentials. Our goal is to work together with you to jointly nurture a love of learning in the children who attend AES
Education and safety receive the highest priority in all that we do and in our school community. We strive to implement best practices, integrating social and academic learning in every aspect of the school day. By teaching and reinforcing expectations, routines and our school rules, students can best focus on their most important job of learning.
We have a couple of new staff members to welcome this year as well as a placement change. Please welcome and get to know:
-
Mrs. Houston in Speech and Language
-
Ms. Zieher in first grade
-
Mrs. Bugar in 4K (from 1st grade)
-
Mrs. Seibel will officially be teaching 4th grade
-
Mrs. Johnson will officially be teaching special education
Please take the time to sit down with your child and get acquainted with the handbook; it describes the rules and policies you and your child need to know for participation in school life. I encourage you to use the handbook as a reference throughout the school year for information about our school’s goals and discipline, as well as health and safety guidelines.
We strongly believe that children are most successful when parents are involved in their child’s/children’s education. We hope that through the combined efforts of home and school, your child will thirst for knowledge, skills and learning. We welcome your support and engagement and anticipate building upon your success as the initial educator as we build our “Community of Eager Learners.” If we can be of any assistance, or if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me here at AES at aplace@aubschools.com or 715-652-2812. We are partners in your child’s education.
Yours in Education,
Andrew J. Place
