The Board identifies booster/parent organizations as important partners with the district to promote and enhance school programs and activities. The Board appreciates the efforts of booster/parent organizations to provide support to school-run programs as well as providing non-school activities for the students. The District will keep booster/parent organizations aware of federal/state laws, WIAA rules and regulations, and school policies and procedures that are relevant to the parent/community members, school staff, students and the district as a whole.
Booster/Parent Organization will:

Comply with all school rules, regulations and Board policies

Establish and maintain bylaws which will be submitted to the Building Principal

Submit an annual report to the district by July 1st which includes a summary of fundraising activities for the prior school year, name of the organization’s officers and an outline of fundraising plans for the upcoming school year that identifies how the funds will be raised, how they will be accounted for and how they will be disbursed.

Obtain approval from Building Principal for all planned activities and fund raising events

Consult with the Building Principal if any questions arise.
Booster/Parent Organization will not:

Interfere with Board operations and process of education

Direct or influence district employees in the performance of their duties.

Use the name, picture and/or personal appearance of a student(s), with or without endorsement, in the promotion of an event, item, plan or service in violation of WIAA regulations.

Utilize the school district’s tax exempt number.

Give anything of value to students, including awards, without first checking with the Building Principal.
The district is provided coverage under its liability policy when it allows a booster/parent organization to use its facilities; however, the coverage does not extend to the booster/parent organization. The district’s liability insurance coverage is for any negligence on the part of the district. It does not cover negligence on the part of a booster/parent organization. Therefore a booster/parent organization assumes its own risk and is responsible for its own liability.
The District shall not discriminate against any organization or person on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability.
