SCHOOL DISTRICT OF AUBURNDALE
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2011
The meeting was called to order by President Douglas Reding at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office Meeting Room in the Elementary School. The President read the Compliance with the Open Meeting Law and Statutory Notices.
Members present were: Michael Hansen, Douglas Reding, Cheri Dimick and Marleen Knutson. Not present: Bob Haupt.
Michael Hansen moved, Cheri Dimick seconded, to declare the meeting legal. Motion carried.
Recognition of the public who wish to comment to the Board. Terri Hamus congratulated Instructors Pat Johnson, Lori Peeters and Sally Raab on the outstanding accomplishment of the Math League participants.
Marleen Knutson moved, Mike Hansen seconded, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Michael Hansen moved, Cheri Dimick seconded, to approve the increase from 34% to 45% in the teaching contract for the remainder of the school year for Michael Hanke. Motion carried.
Cheri Dimick moved, Michael Hansen seconded, to accept, with letters of gratitude for their years of service to the district, the retirement requests from Instructors Pat Johnson and Penny Ylitalo. Motion carried.
Marleen Knutson moved, Cheri Dimick seconded, to adjourn into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) to review performance evaluation data of District Administrator; pursuant to Wisconsin Statue 19.85(1)(f) to consider the possible non-renewal of specific individual teachers and pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(f) to consider the personnel history of a specific past employee, which if discussed in public, would likely have a substantial adverse effect on the reputation of that person. Motion carried.
Michael Hansen moved, Cheri Dimick seconded, to reconvene into open session. Motion carried.
Marleen Knutson moved, Michael Hansen seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 9:02 p.m. Motion carried.
